Profile Information

About Me:

The South Pound was formed in November 2006 after a current release of Southern Stisles Records "Monsta Game", a compilation album which featured all would be artist under the label. Even though Southern Stisles Records is a newly formed indie label and partially funded, the first official album was not a success, due to financial and promotional issues. Uneducated to the business, most of the artist lacked initiative and soon began to fade away. The remaining artist along with both the CEO and Co-CEO, formed the South Pound. Their first album was due to release in the summer of 2007 but was put on hold due to the absence of both CEO's. One, serving his country in Iraq (Mr. Envi'), and the other to Florida as a result of a job transfer (JTL). They soon both returned near the end of 2007 and got right to work. Throughout 2008 they experienced many unfortunate events, and even disagreements and misunderstandings. They hope that 2009 will be the year they get it together with the release of their long awaited first album, "Tryin' To Maintain", available now on iTunes.
